Lourdes Dress (Archer Base)

100% ripped off the Lourdes Dress by Mille. I don't feel that terrible because I've tried some of their clothes on before and it's mostly all too long on this 5' 1" person — so I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on something that doesn't fit!

Used a lightweight black cotton that I had a TON of, so I just double layered everything for stability and opacity. It's a bit weighty which actually adds nice movement to the dress. Fabric was from the Winsome Goods Sale.
Started with the Archer as the base.
- Cut it off at my waist
- Added a 2x*Waist tier that ended just under my butt
- Added another 2x*Tier1 tier that ended at my desired hem length
- Hidden button placket gets sewn in to the waist
- Omit collar (keep collar stand)
- HUGE sleeves, gathered cap. Elastic at the cuff, turned under for a bubbly pouf.
- Wide rectangular waist tie.
(*maybe more than 2x, I can't remember)
Here's a bonus picture of my sister who styled it with 2 beers at an outdoor wedding this fall.
