Bought this pattern while we were in the middle of moving and am just now getting to it six months or so later. The pleats just have to be done in a semi-sheer/lightweight fabric so they can create their own contrasting stripes!

The ties are somewhat of an awkwardly wide width. I wish they were maybe just a bit narrower so would maybe make them so next time.

Although this is a pretty simple and easy pattern, I wouldn't necessarily recommend to beginners as the instructions can be a little light at times. The pleat folding is easy enough but takes some time to work through.

The method given for making button loops was not my favorite. I did a chainstitched loop instead.

I don't hate the gathering over the fullest point of ghr bust as much as I thought I would.
