A Sewing Journal

I'm trying out a sewing journal! It's not a full blog so may be lacking in some functionality, but allows for a little greater detail than an Instagram post.

THIS PLATFORM
After some research, I'm using Evernote + Postach.io, at least for now. It's super simple:
  1. Designate a notebook in Evernote to sync to a public Postach.io site
  2. Write and format a note within that notebook
  3. Tag the note "published," and voila! It appears on the public site as a blog style post

PROS
This Evernote + Postach.io setup met most of my criteria for a "bloggish" thing, including:

Easy
I want to sew and think about sewing, not manage a site/blog.

Cheap/Free
Want to give this a go before throwing away money. Both Evernote and Postach.io have paid versions with more options for customization, but function perfectly well for free.

I did opt for the paid version of the postach.io app (~$5/month) which allows for more customization of the site design and a custom url (purchased separately).

Decent Design
I want finished projects to be clear and visible.

Easy content management
I want to have easy access to my own stuff, and somehow keep it well organized or separate from a blog so I don't lose or have to transfer all of my content if I decide not to upkeep a website. Even if the corresponding Postach.io site is disabled, all content remains in Evernote.

RSS Compatible
Following favorite blogs with an RSS feed somehow feels hilariously antique. I use the Feedly app and it was easy to add this blog/journal to my feed by searching "Toile Du Nord," or by typing in "toiledunord.postach.io/feed.xml"

** Bonus Features **
Commenting is supported with Disqus, and Google Analytics are also available.

CONS

Not Searchable
This would be a bigger issue to me if I had a ton of content.

Limited Tagging Functionality
Posts can be tagged with categories, but most Postach.io free themes don't feature tags on the homepage for easy utilization. Clickable tags are shown at the bottom of each post to view all content with that tag. Not ideal but again, perfectly fine for now.

What do you think?
What do you think about this journal/bloggish format? Anyone want to join me? Any other ways you document sewing in an easy and accessible way?
